There are lagging & leading indicators with respect to where a neighborhood is heading regarding investment.

@Amanda Forde I have two rentals in Dorchester and while I had expressed the desire to raise rents last year with the tenants, both have been great in terms of taking care of the units, and being respectful neighbors, and of course paying on time.

Unless you put 50% down or something but then if you have that cash there are so many better ways to invest With all respect did you read my post?

He is a very well respected, very kind and thoughtful individual, so I was surprised at this.

With so little respect for the law these days I had already predicted this scenario.

@Tanner Litchfield I would suggest researching the respective city or city ordinances, and maybe state specific codes as well.  

You get paid more per unit, and tenants seem to be respectful most of the time, they are truly passive.
