I guess that means he can only deal with other licensees....the broker is protecting the public LOL.Anyway, the OP has recourse against the complaining agent, through the local Board as well as in court, and, I don't see enough details, like a copy of the letter or as to the cause of any complaint to comment.

If the Owner hasnt increased rents in 10 years to keep 100% occupancy, most likely the leases either renew month to month or they sign new 12 mo leases and the terms probably arent all that complicatied so increasing income value may not be that difficult.Sounds like the deal may have some merit and I'm sure you know the details of which comments have been made so proceed cautiously and keep us posted on the progress

The old laws on the books, if enforced, were sufficient IMO.I guess the gov't wants all of the hundreds of thousands of people living in "Lonnie deal" homes to instead just rent their homes and deal with the cut-off water, the no air-conditioning repair, the roach and vermin infestation, the leaking toilet, the broken dishwasher that their landlord refuses to repair while the local courts get an influx of eviction cases.

I have been doing some research, and it seems that if the tenant asks for their rent due date to be changed to coincide with the day they should receive their disability check, then that's considered "reasonable accommodation" under the Fair Housing Act.A judge may consider that PM did not give "reasonable accommodation" to tenant if it went to court.
