If you lived in the house long enough to be considered Primary residence you may have a Sec 121 exemption.

I would recommend that before you start STR-ing your investment property,  that you  clean it a couple of times yourself so that you can get to know where the "dirty spots" reside. 

I don't care if they disputed it after 9 days or 9 months.

A metal object doesn't care if it is 20 degrees with still air or 20 degrees and windy. 

Multifamily investing can be a lucrative venture but requires careful planning and understanding of the real estate market.

We currently reside in Europe and are considering purchasing our first investment property in the US, particularly in the Tampa area.

I think that people should take care of their physical health as a higher priority than investing.
