That sounds like managing an intern, which has great time wasting potential for the more experienced person.

I think his plan was to sell one house to pay for each child's college tuition, and then sell the remainder to fund his retirement.

You can get a great real estate education for free at your local library or at the local college/university library.Try that out before spending your hard earned money.
