For those who don't know, recession makes for a few hard years, depression makes for a hard decade, Stagflation makes for a hard generation.Best hope at this point seems to tank the dollar enough so exports take hold again, or just burn Europe to the ground again, that worked last time. 

I have learned by experience but very early on I been burned to many times.

That's funds who could literally burn a million $ for a weekend weenie roast, and they say it's too much risk.
