We are a small city, surrounded by rivers, huge lakes, 2 volcanos (though no danger) hundreds of miles of walking/biking trails, etc. so for STR it's very popular. 

(its 20 mins to a more populated town with loads of STR and 40 mins to a popular lake).

@Michael Kundrat don’t know Salt Lake City market but plenty of 100+ year Victorian multis here in Jamaica plain and prices well over 1M.
