So - 1) nice cabinets (not custom made, but Lowes Diamond brand or similar). 2) Nice counters, quartz, not granite. 3) Step up a notch in brand recognition for the appliances, maybe LG or Bosch or whatever is considered 'cool' in your area?

I am probably a few months away from having mine (knock on wood)I also thought it would be a good idea to put on the inside of a kitchen cabinet- the contact info/directions to contact you for maintenance or other. 

Cabinets and walls were stained yellow.

Also the upper cabinets only have one set of screws holding them up.

I also had to kilz and paint the inside and outside of the cabinets to remove the smell, and all of the trim, doors, etc.

The cabinets are 15+ years old and are just a mess.
