My observation and research as a non American investing in America is thet your appreciation is the least predictable of any western nation.

I don't like the hard sell aspect I've heard about Eddie, AND is seems like a closed society. 

Education has become totally devalued by American society.

The people are nice, but the society is very buttoned-down.

Good luck and don't cave just because they are old and disabled doesn't mean the rules of polite society don't apply to them.  

While the theory of integrating people into society is a good one I think we have moved many people from the hospital to these homeless camps.

We've offered some opinions on your situation that seem to be contrary to what you want to hear, if that's what you mean.Personally, I don't like the attitude that leads people to believe that the upside of an investment is all theirs but any losses should be borne by the bank / society.
