When I lived out of town back in the day, I had a property manager handle my rental, and they were the ones who got the midnight phone calls.

We also weren’t able to have our cell phones out due to “disclosure agreements” The whole thing felt like a waste of time and a scheme.

My thinking is along the line fo the day the rent doesn’t show up and nobody answers the tenant’s phone, what’s your plane?
