About a month ago, I had a family member introduce me to real estate investing and I've been hooked ever since, trying to read and learn as much as I can to make my first move and kick start my investment career.

Start by learning the real estate basics, study the market, set your goals, get a team of experts, make friends in the field, look into how to pay for it, begin small then grow, do deep checks, and go for it.

I will be learning more about it as I signed up for a class.  

I won't comment on whether its 'worth' it or not, however one thing I've learned and will share with you since you are new, is to be careful of homes that have low rent rates because maintenance costs tend to be disproportionately big.It costs just as much to replace an HVAC for a house that rents for 2k/mo, as it does to replace an HVAC on an 800/mo house.
