@Steve Cheslock I just came across this post when doing research on self storage.

Both of these were true, so I proceeded to hold the items in the property for a month (by law), then the next month I moved the property into a Storage Unit (I gave the tenant a key, the code, numbers, etc) and held it there for another month before I proceeded to donate everything to the Goodwill (In total, there was about 2 months worth of availability for the Tenant to collect their belongings) Currently, this Tenant is now saying that I illegally removed his belongings from the property and is looking to sue, and I'm curious if there's anyone that has had experience in this subject or had to work through going to court in a similar situation.

Hello All,I'm starting to look at self storage facilities and need some basic questions addressed that pertain to the MN market:1.

I have 100 acres I would like to subdivide some of it and build some houses and build a storage facility. 

I know that self storage facilities install them in their hallways and in some office buildings they install them in their restrooms.

We will be taking on 240 new self storage units in the next two months.

Adding or expanding the gym, adding in-unit washers and dryers, creating a dog park, adding fenced-in yards where possible, adding carports (if applicable), improving common areas and adding onsite self-storage options.
