unless the prospective or current tenant presented with a medical qualification for a service/therapy type dog in a 4 or more unit building if i read correctly.would u allow dogs to ruin ur newly installed (but delicate) laminate floors?

Decision forchapter 7 was mostly based on medical debt.

A medical situation has caused him to eat up his savings and go into debt, and his credit is shot so a traditional refinance is out for him.The house is zoned as single family, and the rentals are not "legal".  

i have been told that you don't want to pay off your mortgage because of tax breaks, and because of medical emergencies.....  

We sold it almost 2 years ago just as the market was turning in our favor, but by then had exhausted savings and had some unexpected medical bills from our daughter that forced our hand to sell it and take the small amount of equity we had.

The university houses medical school students there now.

I make enough rental income to provide for my family (wife & 3 young kids), but I still have a full-time job to provide the medical benefits.

Having worked in construction and manufacturing (My manufacturing experience includes custom cabinetry, hand-finished stone veneers, pavers & carved objects & medical devices).

This past July one of my rentals suffered a massive fire due to careless cooking.The tenant was ill and took some medication.
