Maybe in PA you can get slab that cheap, but when I did my own kitchen it was $2k for 33 sq ft of brown & tan stone.

I always file the claim just cause it's pretty cheap and at the very least it will create a record that will be questioned by any other potential landlord.

I personally think you are better off buying a cheap builders grade carpet from a carpet warehouse.If you do end up using it, tape more than just the perimeter.
