I used to use an 800# for all my ads - then I got tired of paying for it :)I did a test for myself and found it really doesn't matter - the call volume didn't go down at all when I swithced to a regular number. When I started doing homes out of the local area / different states I thought about it again but never got around to it - and I get plenty of calls.I think cell phones have really changed that world - long distance is really something only us old timers think about :)

Like North Korea not submitting to the U.N. about ceasing nuclear testing...thats right NUCLEAR testing WHILE stating that they will "wipe America of the map" How about a little preemptive war for that, theres no "possibility" of WMD's, they agree whole heartedly that they have them...Castro is still in power...the Mexican border is a massacre on a regular basis with drug lords shuttling drugs into America...yup that one directly effects us too...Again, I cant thank the military enough for being able to do what they do, my 21 year old brother is a Marine in the middle east,...but what is the government of 4236 families thanking them for?

I have tried a ton of options....Press 1 for this and give a lot of info - press 2 for this and give a lot of info etc....I have tried just my first name / just my biz name / a woman's voice / my voice / long / short / friendly / serious.I have called the numbers back who don't leave a message. For what I do I found it doesn't make much difference except for a long/complicated message that explains things in detail to "qualify" the buyers - those didn't go over well for me.Short - simple Hi this is scott - leave me a message - or Hi this is tradewinds we can help you with your situation leave me a message works just fine and took a lot less time to do.The only thing I didn't try was someone with a British accent - maybe i will test that out :)For me I just couldn't find an effective way to qualify them further - so go back to basics - what was the purpose of the voicemail?

Agreed with Tim...While there's not much that politicians could do that would surprise me these days, this is one of those things that even the average lazy American would get off his sofa to complain about. If there's any proof that this has happened (other than a random Internet forum post), I'm open to it...but it doesn't pass the evidence test nor the common sense test.
