And be sure to check for freeze damage, even if the place was winterized, there still can be freeze damage to plumbing, boilers, hot water heaters, etc.Also check with code enforcement and see what they have on the condemnation.

This however is market dependent but I know generally speaking less people move in the winter you need to budget in a vacancy factor when looking at properties and be conservative.

There are 35+ windows which most of them are over 71" high, so it's no small task to add this extra protection from the winter.BTW I live in Wisconsin where it can get below zero during the winter.
