For example two properties we purchased in the late 1990's in southern Marin county for high-$300K and mid-$400, respectively, are currently worth $1.25 and $1.5 million, respectively, and together throw off about $90K in free cash per year (after property taxes and insurance - both are paid off). 

We had a couple in Southern California that required us to put it on a GFCI circuit or else put it under the sink/readily available with a plug or disconnect .

The current time is 10:37 AM EST and there is a treacherous driving conditions warning for all of southern ontario.

I'm currently in the process of looking to purchase my first house hack in Southern California.

We are open to try out Sacramento which is about 150 miles away or Southern California since we are familiar with the area.Any advice?

My insurance on a similarly priced house in southern westchester is $1800 per year.
