They fit the bill of reasonable cost, decent turnaround time, helpful service, and they're great people to boot! 

I simply sent all the load docs to the service and they handled everything. 

In my opinion if you can get enough down payment it may be better for you to finance them, hold a mortgage, and hire a loan servicer, you can even have the tenant pay the $15/mo for servicing.

Such IRA-owned LLC entities cost more to setup initially, but eliminate most all transaction fees with the custodian and give you much more control over your investments.IRA Services used to be good.

I've been listening to the podcast for awhile and figured it was time to stop working so independently and start getting plugged into the community.

Homeaway  doesn’t provide any more service for us then they do for a less expensive property, so we don’t like being charged more money. 

@Brad TarryYou can roll all or part of that old 401(k) to an IRA of your choosing, including a self-directed IRA that provides broader investment choices.IRA plans do not offer a participant loan feature as 401(k) plans do, however.If you are self-employed, you could potentially establish your own Solo 401(k) and then have access to the loan feature.If you will be joining another W-2 employer you could also potentially roll some of your current 401(k) into that plan such that you would have some capital from which to borrow.If you have an outstanding loan on your prior employer 401(k) that may need to be paid off promptly if you have terminated service.
