Is this some kind of scam like I buy the land and then I get socked with a bunch of back taxes and fines and penalties or something, or it's Indian burial land and I'm forced to build a 5-star cemetery on it, and I can't get out of it? 

I've not heard of them before, it's just a listing service for individual agents so that means there's probably some good ones and some scams.

It becomes the new owners problem whilst the tenant has scammed possibly several months of free rent.Don't be daunted by the eviction process.

I've been swirling with all of the R.E. courses, info, scams, etc... but really want to get involved hence my joining this site.

You bait and switch rent cost (you tried to do it to me from 1800 to 2500, but only after I scrubbed your place, patched the holes,  and completed half a full house interior paint- also as a contracted cleaner on your other clean jobs - you got thousands in free work just to scam us)Once we caught in to the scam and said we weren't interested in the new leasing terms you sprung on us after all that work and our own money,  you THREATENED TO HAVE ALL OF OUR BELONGINGS REMOVED FROM THE GARAGE AND CARS TOWED WITHIN 24 HOURS!!! 

It seems you want to take shortcuts AND scam the system.

I would really hate to see BP earn a reputation similar to Craig's List: a destination for sickos and scam artists!

The best advise I heard besides solid references,financials, is by@ENGELO RUMORA Who says that you should email the party and tell them you are thinking of investing in the next year.If they stop communication then you know it could be a scam.

There are a lot of hucksters and scam artists in the Real Estate Investing Education business.
