There is a big difference between a homeowner who, for whatever reason, is behind on their mortgage payments, and an investor who overleveraged (knowingly and admittingly) on multiple properties and now wants the easy way ot/bail out.I do not intend to have a back and forth with you here, but I believe you are clearly misunderstanding this situation.

I don't know if it's socialist but it is a clear example of the corruption we're in.This bailout is the equivalent of dumping taxpayer dollars into WorldCom to prop it back up, taking Bernie Ebbers out of prison and giving him a bonus, then blaming 401k's and tech stock investors for their scandalous greed.

I would say if you can afford to pay cash, then pay the cash and wait about 6mths or a yr and then take out a home equity line of credit on the property.Whenever you can purchase a property free and clear, I would definitely recommend going that route.

It's very clear that most people will keep voting for the dorks that helped create this mess, and the dorks will evidently hire the guys that made the problem to help "fix" it.I'd suggest an economic revolution.
