That happened to my family when we moved one time and friends placed the fridge on its side in the front yard after taking it out of the truck. 

@Arik Sikula I would suggest an alternate: pursue your RE license and work in leasing at a multifamily development.  

I'm hoping that I am showing them an alternative way of making money that may not be evident right now, but when they get older the seed might be planted.Why not refinance what you have instead of selling?

A generous negative gearing policy has led a lot of people to accept negative cash flow because of the tax benefits, and bank on the historically unprecedented property boom to continue trucking on.

I looked for alternatives for money sources and getting a mortgage was the option I chose.

I invest in San Diego and therefore do not have an alternate area to recommend but will add that I am pro So Cal REI.  

 I work full time and my only debt is one truck payment.

They are cheaper alternatives and give a great look.

Ask them straight up if it fits into their schedule.If you are looking for an alternate route, im sure there is a licensed subcontractor (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical) in town who would be willing to GC the project for you.
