Hello Bp friends,What are your thoughts on bathroom remodeling.

Bought to move great tenants from one rental house that we wanted to take over and remodel for ourselves, to another in the same neighborhood that they wanted to remain in.

Hey all,I am on W2 and curious if I can pay less tax by writing off the remodel expenses of a rental property (that’s is under my name).As an example, if I earn 80k, and I remodel my rental property by spending 40k. would that 40k tax deductible, and I end up paying tax only for 40k?

I've learned a lot from the first house I bought low and remodeled over 5 years and made a good profit from.

I would like to learn more about appraisals, deal analysis, remodeling, and financing.

I had this issue as well and it was the toilet that was leaking.

The inspection isn't very hard, make sure the plugs are grounded, the hot water works, the toilets flush, drains work and light switches work. 

My first response is to reach out to the tenants and inform them of the extremely high water bill and to ask them to check if there are any leaky faucets or running toilets.

You could do some kind of flip or BRRRR if you got a property at a good rate that isn’t a complete remodel.

I am a trades man myself and know many other people from different trades/ contractors so i can help out in remodeling processes and maintenance work.
