We do this in addition to the lease, as collecting rent is pretty much the most important thing to establish right off the bat.I also highlight the benefits of the form of rent I prefer to try to get the tenant to see what option makes both our lives easiest.Either way this is a separate form that is delivered and gone over in detail at move in date so we don’t have any confusion.Even if you have already started your relationship it is not too late to print up a form and go deliver it to him.Then everybody is clear on how they can and cannot pay rent.Good luck

Bring it on, I am much more worried about a 200 unit apartment building coming in down the street than only being able to raise rents 7% + CPI per year.This is something I sent to a local charity we have supported (oregon food bank) which decided to come out in support of the bill.My last point is this, rent controls and tenant protections lead to decreased supply and strengthen both the pricing power, average rents and value of the owner's of existing properties.

Hi - On a LAundry Room issue - install another one or two washers with dryer if there is room, this is just food for thought - apparently the person or persons involved, they have lots of clothing they need cleaned - how can u control a person health and welfare.

I would not call it "succession planning" as I am not yet planning to turn into worm-food, but you have a good point in the sense that I am planning to slow down, semi-retire and only have the real estate to "play with".
