Couple things you can do:1) Network with as many wholesalers and real estate agents to start building your pipeline of deals.2) Can you send out letters, cold call, door knock, etc to find deals?

I did something similar and my preference was to actually view properties so that I could get a feel for the community and area, which isn't really something you can gauge just from photos alone.

You will have to pay dues each year, and pay for MLS access, those add up to a couple thousand a year.
