Looking back now, there was a truly incredible emphasis on "not screwing up your future," an immense fear of risk that carries over from high-school mind control, pushed into your brain by the people who work there, all of whom spent years getting along to worm their way into a unionized low-to-middle-income teaching job, in large part, by jumping through hoops and never doing anything that might lead to their getting fired out of a government union job, or, to put it as teachers do, "jeopardize their position."

For things like outsourcing upsells where you're just the middle man (e.g. providing an option to purchase tickets to a local tour or theme park) I doubt that would change the taxable structure, but definitely a conversation to have with a CPA.

It turns out that I'm not the only one that has always exploited this to put white collar six figure professionals into their home using "moderate to low income" goodies: 3/4/19 Most CRA-qualifying loans in low- and moderate-income areas go to middle- and upper-income borrowers.
