I believe that Open Office (free software BTW) has a plugin that allows for PDF files to be opened and edited; I have used this to make text changes to PDF files in the past (on an older version of that software - newer versions, well I haven't tried to do this yet).

I would post the balance sheet on the bank's website and perhaps get a third party opinion of the soundness of my bank.A major problem with deposit insurance is that it insulates the depositors from the need to monitor the condition of the bank.

I was just reading today about CoreLogic's covenant monitoring services.Basically they will track any loan applications on the property for one year and notify both lenders.The new buyer probably won't be able to get a loan on teh property.
