There are numerous articles that I would like to be able to mark as a Favorite as I am terrible at remembering where in the world to find them when I need them. 

Within a week I had agreed with The Canyons Resort (my favorite snowboard spot) to rent my 4 bedroom, 3 bath home, plus den to 10 seasonal employees of the resort. 8 were housekeeping staff hired and flown in from Jamaica. 2 were Britts, hired for the ski school.

Most of the increase in value was due to appreciation, it what the tax law is anticipating.If you paid $100,000 for a property and held it for 10 years and now its worth $200,000 and you donate to your favorite charity, you should get a dedcution for the value at the time of donation or $200,00, regardless of what you paid for the property.
