Both platforms brought quality applicants, provided detailed credit and background checks and make setting up automated monthly rent payments easy for me and the tenant. 

The only other software I use is SmartBNB for automated messaging to guests and automated texts to my cleaner.

Title companies too will become more automated, and less personal, and I woiuldn't be surprised to see those mega companies taking on that too and offering it along with lending together.

It does get easier as you develop systems and automate different aspects of your business, but in the beginning you have to be willing to put in a lot of work for you to be successful.
