I don't know about your forests but in the Northwest Cedar is really high  then fir  then Hemlock then spruce .. saw log alder can bring good money occasionally.. but then you have the grand daddy of them all REDWOOD but that is a CA product.and you had big runs on Port Orford cedar that was used in Music instruments..

I talked to the local police department precinct involved in the area and the officer thought the right owner could raise the bar for the neighborhood and that the crime they investigate are the usual domestic disturbances or the occasional car break-in and that the neighborhood is pretty good.

But, I hesitate to use up what we have now on acquiring rentals and not have any left to acquire more or do the occasional flip for capital.So what we were thinking is to reverse that and try to get in on a couple of flip deals first to build up some more operating capital and then start buying rentals with the occasional flip along the way.
