The US is one of the only countries on the planet, I'm actually not aware of any others, where 30 year fixed rate mortgages exist. 

Solar panels and a clean grid combined with heat pumps is 100% renewable whereas oil gas and propane are destroying our planet at an ever-increasing clip.

The grass is always greener, sure properties are cheaper in the Springs, but there are still great opportunities in Denver and picking the right property in the right neighborhood along with being willing to put a little love into it is a great way to gain a lot of equity quickly in my experience/opinion. 

Is the grass greener?   

We plan to house hack for the 2 years and eventually move to greener pastures.

We were being sophisticated so now we don't get the pref tax treatment every other homeowner on the planet does.What do you mean by changed over?

I sometimes read this website and wonder if I even live on the same planet as some of you.

The grass is ALWAYS greener on the other side of the fence and there is no such thing as a perfect deal.
