A number years ago, I went to town buying a bunch of rentals in a short period of time and I can assure you they took money from my family instead of putting money in my family pocket.

We renovated duplexes and converted. if the price of a condo is similar to a single family home I would pass on it.

The victims are a family in Texas that loaned him their life savings.Any leads on his financial assets would be appreciated and greatly help this family. 

My single family home is rented, but I got lucky getting the bare end of good interest rates, and I made sure rents would cover mortgage upon leaving.  

Although most of my stays are <7 days, I've had a few longer stays (business travelers and a family that was going through a full home remodel).

I moved to Ohio and now work as an agent and a new investor in the Cleveland market.Single families are in the 90-120k price range, and duplexes are in the 120-180k price range.Many out-of-state investors have grown their portfolios in Cleveland using the BRRR strategy.
