I am fortunate that the Agent was an excellent practitioner for two reasons (1) it was a complicated transaction, but he had a great system and (2) I took his advice on my offer amount.

There are several differences and also an area of opportunity.Your best bet if you want someone local...below the gnat line...is to ask for referrals within your network or join a local RE association and ask for referrals.If you aren't opposed to working remotely, there are at least a dozen tax practitioners who are active (or semi-active) on this subforum.

While an Attorney can represent you in all courts, a CPA or EA can represent you in Tax Court if they obtain a USTCP designation (US Tax Court Practitioner).Do not be fooled by someones credentials, make sure that you properly vet any professional that you hire.Best of luck!

You can require a statement from a local physician, mental health practitioner, or social worker that confirms the prospect has a "qualified" disability, per medical standards, and that the animal performs a necessary task or alleviates symptoms of the disability.
