They do it as a measure of protection for their time and effort in helping you with your search but they are clearly crossing the line of business integrity when they did not ask for your formal consent.

@Tanya Robson, once the agreement is signed - legally he can't go back into the agreement and manually change any terms without consent from the buyer/borrower.
