There is no appreciation beyond that like you have in real estate, but it is the easy answer to your question at the moment… and inversely related to real estate, so as interest rates go down on savings, real estate affordability will go up by the same measure (more or less).

The has been a lot of cases where the rehab was done to make it look beautiful to the buyer but everything behind the walls or where eyes cannot reach is done incorrectly.Even big new home builders do this kind of shady business where it comes to a point it is necessary to order inspection for new home builds in US .

@Tim MelinPro - didn't take into consideration personal income or debt.Con - stiff prepayment penalties that are typically a 5-yr step down and the rates have gone up considerably in the last two months making them a poor option at the moment if you believe rates will go down in the next year or two.

Right now, the renters do not fill out any sort of application, they move in as soon as they look at the unit and move out on a moments notice.
