It sounds like the appeal here isn't the deal but the ease/comfort of finding/making the deal.

They will make their selections based on what appeals to the majority, because they want to cast a wide net of prospective buyers. 

While we are not truly concerned with making it someones dream home, we do want it to be smooth/safe with a modest level of eye appeal and without a massive time or money investment.
