Hi all - I've been trying to understand what costs are for new construction of SFR in Los Angeles, but have gotten a wide range from $200/sf to $600/sf, depending on the finishes.  

It's the same size as the one I have now (6ft tall x 4ft wide), but the one I have now isn't actually a humidor, just a cabinet I got on craigslist for $250 and another $250 to turn it into a working humidor.

You've got a great background and, I'm assuming, a pretty wide network of contacts.

This is good for consumers in that you can price/rate shop far and wide. 

My wife's aunt has a property that is two lots wide.

I know these questions are very wide open, but before we get too serious I want to make sure this is a viable options. 

Your criteria may be too wide. 

In reading post after post on BP, I am getting a wide snapshot of different strategies which is excellent for my own edification.

I am still working on the renovation costs but they would be somwhere 40-100k (I know its a wide range, and I need more detail, I havent seen the units yet).My question is this: I have always wanted to use my dad for at least a partial financing (smaller financing for down payments + conventional financing).
