Are there any other strategies out there for making your money work for you, but still keeping it “safe” while you wait for Uncle Sam to come calling?

On the other hand, I'm 46 years old and I don't have 30 years to wait to produce an income which can support me.

Maybe 3 weeks of work with 1 or 2 guys not rushing . maybe one or 2 thousand to get it ready . 

This past weekend I‎t clicked “The longer i wait, the less i make” so I️ began researching general real estate investing info.

ofcourse worth it to buy it and do whatever with it, from NY City area where even the biggest piece of garbage in the worst area starts at a couple hundred thousand and up, good luck with it!

I want to renovate the house then sell it. i also don't want to wait to homestead the house til jan 1st b/c then i have to wait for closing on the HELOC of about 45 days and another month for renovations.
