If it were a product that had a price point available to non-institutional, retail investors or small businesses it could be interesting.

I am currently a resident of Ohio, but my business partner and I spend quite a bit of time in the Carolinas. 

You should look at the membership fee as just a cost of doing business as a real estate agent.
