One of the markets to buy my first duplex in was/am (kinda) considering is Hollywood CA (NOT WEST, NORTH, OR EAST).

It is in the city of North Kansas City (64116) and was originally listed for 175K, under contract at 145K. 

North Minneapolis gets a bad wrap but I've got a ton of young family first time homebuyers moving to the area and I believe it is an adorable up and coming neighborhood.
