I walked away from a property once that had an underground aquifer under it.....it was unfixable and the best we could ever do was install a system to "manage" the water.

Tile is pretty simple and can be learned easily.

The water apparently made its way down into the basement and the ceiling tiles in the basement right under the kitchen floor has come out in several spots and the carpet in the basement got wet completely.

We got second hand corian and installed it in the kitchen and furniture from consignment shops when we go furnished. we go with area rugs on hardwood.

@Kevin Delaney There is many ways of doing this from using software to installing certain plugins.

During the 1994 Northridge earthquake I started storing totaled MH's and derelicts at my construction yard then started dishing them off to ranchers and brokers from Mexico and was thereby required to obtain my manufactured home dealers license due to the volume of business I was conducting.I then used my dealers and contractor's licenses to purchase new MH's directly from manufacturers, installing them on lots/parcels and reselling or rent/leasing them.

If the market will pay $xxx for a new tile floor then thats what you try to get.
