No clients, no training, no BP, and the technology was not as good as today. 

Now Sonder is running it as a low-cost, no-frills, virtually operated hotel - no breakfast, no front desk, no coffee, no mini-fridge - just a bed and bathroom and a smart phone app, at half what a room in a nearby hotel would cost and even a bit less than we charge for our 1 bedroom apartment.

I have reviewed the Smart move service and am not sure that I like the whole "email the tenant" approach.

@Ibn Abney in both cases you mention, Oakland and NYC, both real estate markets were driven by the concentration of technology companies that came into the area with jobs, attracting the youth with better jobs.Chicago has............................. no technology companies wanting to set up shop there and the number one city in the US where people are leaving the area.Without technology companies wanting to set up shop in droves, it's a dying city in my opinion.  

Leslie,With the current day in age being heavily influenced by technology.

We REALLY want to move, but at the same time I want to be smart with my decision.The home is realistically worth only about $80,000. 

Househacking even while in college is a smart move.

Have them just put a stereo in the room (locked) on a smart wifi plug.
