I am looking for a Mentor, I understand that asking someone to give up their time and energy for me, for very little in return is asking a lot, so I wanted to see if anyone had ideas to help me along my journey!

Seems to confirm the fact that finding the deal is the most important part, cause once you have that, you'll do what you need to do to get it done... and in this case, that involved reaching out to someone to be your mentor along the way.Great stuff and CONGRATS.

Since it's your first investment, it may be wise to look at a single family home or a small multifamily properties unless you can find a good mentor/partner to help you get through the complexities of dealing with larger properties. 

Hopped on with a mentor/business partner and am leaps and bounds ahead of where I would be if I did it solo dolo!

Did you have a coach or mentor?

I heard they give you a mentor and he helps you make a game plan and they teach you about real estate however its $495 but idk if its worth the money.

No matter what your strategy you will always need a good realtor, property manager, contractor, handy man, title company, insurance agent, attorney, accountant, mentor, turnkey provider, etc... 

I realized I wanted to do real estate a couple of months after I graduated but never had a mentor or anyone close to discuss learning this field . . .

I love the rental arbitrage business but I think a more balanced perspective is important: "Martin" and "Al" are my two mentors and both worked very hard to build their rental arbitrage portfolios.

One of my mentors currently owns multi family in Chicago and is trying to sell.
