These folks have caused a water damage and downstair roof has crashed down in the washer/dryer room.

We needed a handyman immediately to put new doors on a tenants room that was moving in today.

Before, I had lived in the guest bedroom, and even rented out the living room so that my rent was only 300$.

There's not much room for good design in long-term rentals when the design comes at the expense of the durability/hardness of the unit, or significantly increases the rehab cost of the unit.

Hello Biggerpockets,I am looking to buy a single family home in the Fairfield, Ca area, and I plan on renting out a room.

It is student housing so rents by the room. 

Right now, we have 5 of 2yr recycle dumpsters in the trash room (2 additional ones for regular trash).

Honestly, I am looking at cash flow and appreciation as well, I think the RE prices there are very low compared to anywhere else in Southern Ontario and there is a fair amount of room for appreciation.
