Like @John Underwood said, WY has some good benefits but TX seems to be one of the best for series LLC's.

How can I properly asses each loan term and compare it to the others to ensure I'm receiving the best deal?

Everyone has different comfort levels of what and where they buy, so you just have to decide what's best for you.Typically I say go north....north of McKinney, or draw a circle around DFW and invest on the outskirts of that circle.

Trying to go to companies directly is rarely going to be your best bet. 

But if either 1) the line is very shallow, only a few feet deep and thus not a lot of digging is required, 2) the line is very long, like over 100 feet, and so it actually is substantially more expensive to replace the whole thing or 3) if the break is under dirt but the line goes under the driveway or a large amount of concrete.
