If he/she gets promoted or saves up enough cash to pay the remaining balance (this almost NEVER happens by the way) then you make a substantial amount of money because due to serious demand issues, you can sell these homes for much more than they are worth.E.

Many of the secondary market buyers of loans, or guarantors, like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are Government sponsored entities, whose purpose is to promote home ownership.

Anyone promoting these ideas need to offer SPECIFIC advice...give ACTAUL examples of recent transactions (with an address to prove it is not BS), and be willing to help people that drink their Kookaid.

I'd vote for finding the best of the lot and if there is vacancy, as long as you are willing to furnish and do some promotion of it (Airbnb, Kopa, Craigslist, Furnished finder) then I think you'll be fine with it as a month to month STR until Airbnb is back in business.
