If you've done asset protection correctly, you won't ever have to worry about people suing you since your name would come up with no assets attached to it. 

Kicking myself for not growing our portfolio sooner but better late than never I guess.Here's the thing - We don't live in the US, my husband is a US citizen but since he hasn't lived in the US for many years he has no credit history.Now comes the fun part - we are in a lot of debt where we live (like $115k in loans).

And, even though I had an owner-occupant clause on my duplex mortgage for the first 12 months, and didn't actually move in, no one ever caught me, or called my mortgage or anything.
