How do you verify that a note/mortgage is "attached" to a owner occupied property? When reviewing a tape, is the provided address the property location or the borrower's mailing address (I assume it's the property.)? ...

So here goes:- Verification of funding: This one is fairly easy as the property acquisition would close through a title company, and the title company would need to make sure there is sufficient equity to satisfy the lender requirements.  

Or, the seller may tell you to go jump in a lake.Take your time negotiating, don't promise anything without verification. 

I would love to to be able to purchase a a 2,3 or 4 plex, however, that just seems out of my reach for now financially.

Sounds like a Nationstar loan, going to auction for "price verification".  

You may need to document the applicant has authorized this verification ( should be a clause immediately above the application signature line) and I fax a copy to the company (hr department if any).

The challenge is banks want income verification, which is typically the last two years of tax returns.

My tenant said he would pay for it, and WA to to know how much it would be.

Please tell me about any good and user friendly tenant verification/credit check websites that you use.  

So maybe the most effective way to to deal with this is to find a middle ground.
