We attracted good tenants but it took twice as long due to them being manufactured.  

They told us they will have it 6+ months to fix the issue as it is a manufacture defect and needs replaced .My question is this, can i do anything tax related because of the loss now?

I toured their factory with the local chapter of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and was very impressed.

Or open a steel manufacturing plant if you had enough money?

As @David Dachtera mentioned modular and manufactured homes are completely different.

@Leanne Huynh - I think you sent me a pm and I replied to that @Scott Schultz  the house is a manufactured  (mobile) in Colorado and no - I don't have much/any income on my 1040; kinda living off retirement/investments for now. 

Donna,I buy/sell manufactured homes all over Colorado and I am familiar with the players in the Aurora market.

The issue with replacement windows is when there is an issue the manufacturer blames the installer, and the installer blames the manufacture. 

Has anyone taken the course to a certified manufactured home appraiser?
