He works and takes care of his disabled mother.

I don't know that a 'commercial' environment would be required, but the preliminary discussion with the person who wants to run this, is that there would always be a nurse or some member of staff there, I would just be the landlord so just the facilitator of the 'business'. 

My wife and I are looking to purchase a multi-family home, either a duplex or a single family with an accessory dwelling unit (sometimes called a mother-in-law apartment).

If it was that easy it would be a great option for some people who want to create that "mother in law suite" concept with more simplicity.  

She has asked if she can have her mother cosign on the lease so that she can rent the apartment.

Think of it this way, a GOOD mother is NOT a child best friend.

As I cannot afford local mentors at the moment, I was blessed to have found a group of successful people willing to give away free advice, it was a no-brainer for me to sign up.I have not focused on success like this since I was in nursing school.

The single girl is a great person who we want to work with but there is 9 months to go,I don't think this is going to end easy just a feeling on the mother of two with a boyfriend.

They have trachs, ventilators, and feeding tubes, and require 24/7 nursing care.
