Sometimes that isn't the case, as depending on the county, its possible one vendor may have mapped the use code to a property type incorrectly, and the other got it right.

My assumption is probably incorrect that most states have laws covering early termination, but would most likely have them for tenancy-at-will scenarios.

You might have a winner here but I am betting that you have missed something or have incorrect info from your ins agent (needs to know the property is a rental) / property tax numbers (look for state/county and CITY property taxes not just county taxes) / attend a HOA meeting meet the leadership and get a feel for their agenda IE New roofs Paving etc that will cause fee surges.

If there's an issue when you finally pay it off, and you need the documentation to be correct, that would be the time to pay a lawyer, in my opinion.But, to sue them for fraud or for them to have committed a crime, you'd have to show that they had "intent" to defraud you, and their actions have not shown any incorrect behavior other than putting a wrong name on a document - which they haven't tried to take advantage of in any way.So, to me, it seems annoying, but not worth worrying about at this point.
