Hi All,Going to look at a condo today that has the following properties:- 2 floors zoned as 1 unit- Floor 1: 2 bed, 1 kitchen, 2 bath- Floor 2: 3 bed, 1 kitchen, 1 bath- Both floors already have separate heating/cooling zones and metersThis is listed as a single unit probably because there aren't enough egress points at this stage.

Here are the details:9 Units in Apartment (5 2bed, 4 1 bed)1- 2 bed house on property - it is a strange house. 

I don't know all the facts here or your full situation so I will refrain from giving my opinion but seems that would be the clear-cut answer based on your one-line post. 

Bottom line, whatever rentals are paid off will help make up the difference in my retirement. 

Granted, I've only been scouring the MLS, but it seems like rents are nowhere near in line with what houses are selling for. 

Here is my question: Should we take out a HELOC (home equity line of credit) or a home equity loan on our existing SFR home (that is paid off) to finance a 10% down payment on the new investment's mortgage? 

I agree, I'd call the power company emergency line. 

-all the above led me to a new construction townhouse in 78747, 2 bed / 2 bath for ~$240k.

Look at the 50% Cash Flow line.  

Also down the line you can get into road block getting more heloc like you mentioned the snowball effect.
